About gDonna
The photo is my son and myself. Now days you can get a photo made to look old like this one. This photo was taken when this was the new look.

Harry S Truman was president when I was born and world war II had ended. I grew up in a time when lunch was put in a brown paper bag and a sandwich was wrapped with wax paper. There was no such thing as pantyhose, we wore stockings that attached to the rubbery clippy things that attached to the girdle. Convenience stores were not common and when we took a trip we packed a picnic basket because many places did not have fast food. Highways had places to pull over and stop, some with picnic tables. After the storm

October 8, 2017

We are doing fine here after hurricane Nate.  The feeder bands were kind to us only bringing breezy winds and rain.  No damage here, cannot say the same for those west of us.  I hope everyone in the path of what is left of hurricane Nate tonight fair well as it travels up to the northeast US.

I spent my time mending Charles work clothes and planned some sewing projects.  We have also been working on our camper called the "Shabby Cabby".  This past year the camper developed some leaks and it has caused damage to the floor.  We have completely emptied the shabby cabby and are ripping out the floor which will take us quite some time since two old people crawling around on the floor can slow things down.

I will close this very short post, I am just letting you know the hurricane has now passed our area except a few light feeder bands off and on.
