About gDonna
The photo is my son and myself. Now days you can get a photo made to look old like this one. This photo was taken when this was the new look.

Harry S Truman was president when I was born and world war II had ended. I grew up in a time when lunch was put in a brown paper bag and a sandwich was wrapped with wax paper. There was no such thing as pantyhose, we wore stockings that attached to the rubbery clippy things that attached to the girdle. Convenience stores were not common and when we took a trip we packed a picnic basket because many places did not have fast food. Highways had places to pull over and stop, some with picnic tables. I really enjoy your blog and get a lot of inspiration from your posts. Love the quilts and vintage linens. Your home is so sweet and peaceful.

I look forward to posts from your tiny house. How nice it will be for you all to have a change of pace and location and help your older relative at the same time.

That quilt is beautiful-----the colors are so bright and colorful. I don't think I have ever seen that pattern before. I have three quilts that my grandmothers pieced for me. I am pretty sure that they didn't' do the quilting, certainly not the grandmother who lived closest to us. They are all pretty but I like the one that was done with scrap pieces best since I can see a few bits that were from my own clothes.

That's wonderful. I love that bowl. I have been saving my bath water to stay cool in the heat. I transfer into a watering can and lug that up the driveway to water my flowers. It really makes a difference in the garden. We are on a two day a week watering schedule in CA. I bring my dog with me, and she likes to help.
