I am back to posting on Albert and Gladys, the 1932 journal of their expenditures during this year of the great depression. If you have not read their journal up to this point you can go to this link to get back to the beginning post for the month of January

As we move through their journal we see that they are not going to the store as often since we see postings for ice which means they now have an ice box for refrigeration. It may have looked something like this above. Albert is still employed and Gladys is home taking care of their home and small baby.
I have been typing out the journal but I have increased the size of the pictures so I hope you can read this without me typing it out.
I will keep working on getting these scanned in to share them with you. It is fascinating to be able to see a real journal of a young family and their expenses during 1932. I hope you are enjoying the journals and diaries. Grandma Donna
