I am adding another diary to our reading in a few weeks. This other diary that I am adding has much more information than Lil's and when I start the other diary, I will do a diary post with nothing else but the two diary readings on that post so if you missed a reading you can just pop on, read and pop off.
This week, I am trying to do back to back posts since there is so much information to share with all of you that are doing this study completely, or parts or reading along.
To let you know, people are emailing me about how their 1943 study is going and the main comment is, I am learning so much! Some of you said that your home is feeling different and as it should be. I cannot count how many people have said my home feels calm.
Other comments are, I wish I would have done this a long time ago, I can see where this is going to help our budget, I love this study!
Some of you have sent me pictures of your vintage home and some have sent photos of your vintage furniture, some of you are searching for rationing recipes, clothing, vintage items. And, many of you are organizing! More of you than I thought, are doing the gasoline rationing and that is wonderful!
Thank you for sharing your memories of long ago with me, I have someone that helped me today with an email about insurance costs in 1943. Thank you Mrs. Z. I am happy that many of you are researching this important era because it can help us today.
And we are only "one month" in this study! Anyone can do this, you can start at any time, get the kids involved, wash those curtains, start working on a serious budget and have some fun at home and live like the year 1943.
