Harry S Truman was president when I was born and world war II had ended. I grew up in a time when lunch was put in a brown paper bag and a sandwich was wrapped with wax paper. There was no such thing as pantyhose, we wore stockings that attached to the rubbery clippy things that attached to the girdle. Convenience stores were not common and when we took a trip we packed a picnic basket because many places did not have fast food. Highways had places to pull over and stop, some with picnic tables. I suppose you'll receive lots of comments on this post after mentioning it recently. I remember reading it before, but I got distracted by a health crisis and never implemented it. My homeschooled children are grown, and I am substitute teaching in a long-term position. I should be done in a few weeks, and I'll be working on the house. It's gotten completely out of control after a summer of company and kids moving out.
In the meantime, while waiting to finish my teaching position, I want to try this daily vacuuming and dusting. I'll start today and keep it up as best I can with the energy I have. ~smile~
