Painting our bedroom closet wall.
As some of you know, we have been doing a serious maintenance project in our bedroom. We are "Not" spring chickens and we scraped, sanded and sealed our wood floor without a sander machine or hired help. We painted our walls, ceiling and trim. This required a lot of climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting, twisting, and you name it for several weeks now. We normally grunt and moan just getting out of bed on a regular day so now it has become comical, let your imagination guide you through the scene.
This week I am going to just pop in with some photos of what is going on.
First piece of furniture going into the room....
Saturday night we put our bed together Woo Hoo!
When we got into bed and looked up, we stared at the newly painted ceiling and we were so happy that painting job was done.
This is Norm. He is getting tired of moving place to place since he lost the shelf he was on.
We have clutter challenges everywhere because we are swapping furniture pieces such as putting the brown furniture pieces in our bedroom and the white pieces in the guest rooms. Thought that would make the rooms look more organized. We will see... swapping furniture means taking everything out of drawers and cabinets.
Our bodies gave out before we could finish the closet floor and paint the closet so the beginning of our third week of this project we took the time to finish this closet floor and painted the walls. We can do more than we think we can, I feel that it is all about getting started that keeps us from accomplishing what we would like to do.
Today is Monday wash day and I decided to do rugs and pet bedding today. Tomorrow I will finish up the regular wash.
We have more blooms on our Dutch Amaryllis this year. Many years ago, my mothers cousin sent her two bulbs from her yard in Texas. They were passed on to me. I have the understanding they are Dutch Amaryllis but both my mothers cousin and my mother went to heaven years ago so I cannot ask them if I have the correct name. If anyone knows, please let me know. I started off with only two bulbs and they have been multiplying and I will divide them for next year. I have one growing in the back yard.
I will be back tomorrow or Wednesday to share more for Peek Week. I may have found a place to put Norm, maybe he will be happy in his new location. I hope that you are having a good week.
